I just recently purchased a JDM used engine. I have a 93 Del Sol with a D16Z6 Vtec and that is what i ordered. I was sent a D16A engine. My question is are they the same engines for the most part. The company I got it from said that they are identical in evry way. Is this true on power and torque? I am new to imports and still learning about it all.

YES they are the same
sensor wise i know they come with a single wire O2 sensor, but you can just carry over your stock unit to the engine
They also have the SOHC ZC VTEC which is the same as the D16A VTEC and the D16Z6

Make sure you have an OBD1 engine
I know they came out with 96^ engines stamped D16A as well

Mechanically, the motors are exactly the same as far as I can see.
