I´m not an expert, but I know that d16a engine just comes on 88-91 crx si or civic si and it is obd-0.

and 98 ek´s are obd-II and come with d16y7 and d16y8 engines

You should check first if you car has this swap.

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1466506

there are more then just the y7 and y8 in the obd2 cars

op:
sorry i don't know of any strait up after market cam, but you could always have a custom regrind made. and yes you will have to convert to obd1 with a conversion harness. if you have a 3 wire iacv, then you will have to convert that also. and last a chipped ecu. gl with your build/mods

You'd have better luck in the engine management section with this question. I thought I remember reading that auto ecus can't be chipped (and remain auto). But you could look into it more. I think pgmfi.org is down at the moment? That would have the info. Check this out also.

some bloke from h-t said:
You need an auto-auto conversion harness----> http://rywire.com/store/automa...5ce69

Then you will need to get an OBD1 auto P75 LS ecu and TCM for the setup. The TCM has to control the tranny.

it was on the second page.
iacv- idel air control valve
and here is some info for you as far as the conversion:
http://hondaswap.com/reference-materials/ecu-pinouts-28667/ (its about half way down, but you will have to register to view it, i'll see if i can get it to post)
ecu's to choose from:
http://hondaswap.com/reference-materials/honda-ecu-list-29129/

also try what kyle said and search/post in the engine management section. some of the guys that look mainly in there, "might" have more info for you.

edit: refer to the attachment
