Hello i have a extra block laying around an i am board so i decided to build my bottom end. But before i do so i had a few questions. I am looking for more hp like always with out sacrificing blowing up my block.

(Just say forged pistons an eagle rods will be used)

1) i would like to sleeve an bore my block do i need the sleeves? I think its a good idea so i dont blow my side wall out. Other wise i read i need block guards.

2) if i bore my bottom end do i need to do anything to my top end besides building it? An if so whats a good idea?

Look into CSS

To me its better than sleeves and will make your HP goal safely for about $400

Theres a few very detailed threads here recently. I believe they still have a ZERO failure rate, which is fvcking unheard of and a true testament

Ok i am gunna do 75.50 9:1
Compression with 14psi no sleeves or gaurds
irrelevant

You need to read, read some more, then look at other folks builds, then make some intelligent decisions, then ask question.

From the sounds of things you have 0 idea what you are doing.

Also if you would have looked in the showcase area of the forum, you will see plenty of builds putting down 300+ on stock sleeves

What are your goals?

What turbo are you looking at running

what cam?

QWho is going to tune it?

You have yet to answer any of these questions that have been asked. Just incase you havent figured out we do not read minds, if any of us did you think we would be on here.

You lack of info show your lazyness and not everyone around here is going to spoon feed you.

How about you do what is in red. That will get you the most info if you do what is posted and not just part of it.

All i am trying to do on this form is look for advise but you all make it a headache
none of us are willing to help someone that aint willing to help themselfs.
