RL = Rod lengthsorry can you just tell me what RL, DH, RS means, may help me search abit more info. im going to be putting the d16z6 head on, when i do would it make a difference using a thicker metal headgasket with vitara pistons?
if not what pistons and rods options are out there for these engines, must be something i just cant seem to find it.
this guy made 150,5 hp without changing heads. its the d15z6 head with d16 parts.
I read for this engine that stock parts can hold on 200 hp, even if you put turbo.cheers for the abbreviations meaning.
i know you don't have to change the pistons and rods to do a mini me but i would like to have a better vtec hence changing to the z6 head and eventually will be running turbo once ive got the most i can from NA so pistons and rods would be a good idea to do at the same time to save taking it apart twice, plus then i have the time to play with compression ratios and headgasket sizes.
any chance using a slightly larger headgasket with vitaras or other pistons and eagle rods would work, has anybody tried this before?
i just want to know my options really so i dont run a turbo on stock parts and cause big damage.
That is very expensive NA tunning .im from england. a friend of mine just made 133hp from just an induction kit and full exhaust system, he got the same hp gain as i did from my 1.4 d series last year.
i have a very long list of parts and the only things missing i think are a set of pistons and conrods for it, thats the only things im having problems finding so im considering having some forged kits specially made by a local vendor on my local forum.
i think i can make more than 150hp from my d15z6, ive done alot of research and the mini-me alone should take me to 130hp, but when i get the z6 head im going to have the following done before it goes on:
z6 head port and polished
skunk2 cam, valves, springs, retainers
aem tru time cam gear
along with this i will be adding a skunk2 inlet manifold, skunk2 62mm throttle body, j's racing carbon induction kit, skunk2 megapower exhaust with funkypower racing manifold and dc sports decat pipe. i will get the p28 ECU, may try the itr injectors with a walbro fuel pump.
im interested to hear your views bobobob, if you have msn maybe we could talk further into the possibilities for the d15z6.
