so.. im gonna use my spare d15z1 vtec-e shortblock and put a y8 head on it.. i did the zealautowerks comp calc it said it should be 8.04:1...

i know thats pretty low but it should be ok with boost..

just my concern.. i know the z1 uses a 1.6 rod length 137mm but i dont know if the rods are as strong as the 1.6 rods.. if anyone has info on that would be great..

also is 8:1 too low for the setup?

any info/help would be cool.. thanks

they are not as strong as D16 rods, but someone went 13's with that combo.........

thanks bone...

so 10psi on a t3 .42 .48 should be fine then... thats what i was using on my z6/y8head shaved 20 with the a6 .046 hg

yeah and you'll have a nicer r/s ratio something like 1.62:1

so this combo should be a bit better than a stock d15bx

and Joe (1493cc) ran 13 flat in a 6th gen sedan mind you.
