Looking for some info if anyone knows what the max over bore i can do on a d15z1
vtec-e and any Recommendations on pistons rings and all

max overbore is whatever max size rebuild kit is offered.

My thoughts on max bore, is what is the end goal?

If it is performance, you wont find it. STROKE increase is where the power comes from. Extra bore to such a minor amount isnt really going to do much.

If interested on just refreshing the engine, send the block off to a machine shop to be inspected, and figure out a real number for "minimum overbore".

If the cylinders are ovalled out, you definitely are looking at a larger bore to get things lined back up.

But likely the engine could use a simple deglaze and ball hone, along with new factory size rings.
