motor, tranny, computer, and wiring for the vtec

Try your hardest to find a 92-95 P28 ecu manual or auto. I have gone through 2 ecu's chipped to run like a p28 and had nothing but problems. Found a P28 in a junkyard, and haven't had a problem. Also Rywire sells a wiring kit. To add the wires you need for the VTEC and the 4 wire O2 sensor your going to need. they provide wiring all the way back to ecu. As far as the Tranny goes. You can use your CX tranny, if all your gettin is the motor. But alot of people say to get the tranny also because the gearing is better in the EX/Si tranny compared to the CX. I swapped a D15B vtec (just like the D16Z6 vtec) got the Rywire harness and kept my tranny. Saved money. If your CX is 5spd buy a new clutch to change out, since your going to have it out. And resurface the flywheel or get a new one. Below is the link to Rywire.

i would suggest not to use the cx tranny, that is what i used and you wont get the full effect of the vtec. i would recommend to get at least a DX tranny if not the ex/si tranny, i have a chipped cx computer running basemaps for the d16z6 with boost, and it hasnt failed me yet. good luck

Was just letting him know that if he didn't have the money, or wasn't gettin the tranny with the engine it would be okay. What I'm I missing in the feel of Vtec since I'm running a CX?
