I live in Canada and my car came with a D15B8 and 5 speed tranny. My current motor is a D15B7 and has an auto transmission and a ton of kilometres, so I wanna swap that motor in and the transmission. Bad thing is, the D15B8 wasn't in Canada and I'd like to know if I could use a D15B7 ECU for a 5 speed, or will I need the ECU from a B8? Sorry if it's confusing but I have to know before I get to work haha, thanks. Also, will the B8 drop right in?

Thanks! Car is a 1993 Civic Sedan by the way.

The b8 ECU will be best if not you will have to modify the auto b7 ECU to even get it to work then you would need to chip/tune the ECU for that motor for best results. You can look on this forum for auto to manual ecu and it will show what you need to do to the auto one to make it work.
