Evening D-series.org I'm curious as what would be better to boost. I just got a donor d15b7 long block. and I have a z6 and a y8 head. I have a few others as well d15b2,d16a6... well I will be using the stock d15b7 short block which combination is my better option to boost? It will be tuned on p28 n s100. I want to get the most hp I can get out of any of these. This is just hobby of mine so blowing a motor isn't an issue. but I want it to last at least a few months.

Thanks ahead of time!

The z6 is gonna be easier to tune, and the head flows more with better top-end power.

The Y8 head is designed for better fuel economy, it is supposed to have better midrange power and torque. With less top-end power due to less flow.

So it depends what you want. Most people will tell you to go with the z6 and that would be my recommendation too seeing as this is a hobby to you, it should be easier to work with also.
