Hello guys, so I have a 93 Civic with half dead D15B7 and I got my hands on wery cheap D15Z8 (economy vtec). Guy, which I bought it from gave me engine, P9l ECU, fuel rail with injectors, wiring that goes from from ECU to right front strut tower and VTEC solenoid. My questions are :
1. Will I need distributor from the Z8?
2. Will the wiring be direct fit to engine harness or will i need OBD 1 to OBD 2 conversion?
3. How do I wire the vtec?
4. Anymore suggestions?
Thanks in advance :)

ECU is directly from the car (P9L, not P91). Also the VTEC is not 3 stage, only one solenoid on engine.

The engine went 27 years basically only with oil change. Whats the idea behind mixing Z8 block with B7 head? It wouldn't have that " I'm saving for B swap" fuel economy VTEC 😂

i just hate obd2 and will do anything to avoid it. especially in an obd1 car.

i wonder if a z1 ecu would run it with a dizzy swap?

Guy gave me the distributor as Well, so i think it depends on the wiring so heres another question: 1. Where to get OBD I to OBD 2 converter?
2. Where to wire the VTEC solenoid.
