Ok I been reading about wire extention to the thermostat housing but hvent found any straight forward guides on how to extend them and etc can anyone fill me in? My car is overheating an I'm pretty sur this is why

1-2 foot of speaker wire, splice and go.

or if you don't want to chop the original harness you probably could go get some bullet connectors and make a little extension harness provided that you have the part that clips to the thermostat housing with enough wire on it.

basically from the thermostat housing connector crimp/solder 2 bullet connectors on to the wire ends. plug the bullet ends into the original harness and connect the thermostat connector plug.

might want to heatshrink or electrical tape where the two bullet connectors attach to the original harness

just my take on it

to OP: do you mean the sensor on the tstat housing extension from the back of the block? if you cant figure that out with common sense then we have more issues at hand than your over heating.
