stock d15b7 bottom end
b7 shaved head 0.040
d16a6 cam and springs
y8 cam gear
240 cc inj
i was turning it over by hand and the timing belt skiped a tooth put it back in time and it did it again

dose any one know why it is doing that

all right guys got a nother ?
i was trying to star it today and it would not start
i checked the timing ,checked all the connection
its geting fuel and spark

yeah your timing is more then likely off .
i had the same problem when i rebuilt my motor. idk about all honda engines but i know the d15b7's are very temper mental mine was off a tooth and a half and wouldnt start.
also you gotta make sure when you tension your belt you take into consideration the crank or cam pulley will more then likely turn a couple teeth off

thanks guys ill double check that tommrow. what is the best way to put to the cam gear in time when all it has on it is up?

it should also have a line on each side that you need to have lined up with the top of the head.

i did this real quick in paint but you should get the idea.....
