I have a jdm 1.5 sohc vtec d15b and I want to put a y8 or a z6 head on it, which should I get and about how much do they run money wise.

Also I am gonna get a z6 or a y8 manifold to, again which one should I use?about how much do they cost?

My opinion would be to get the y8 head and IM. If you look around you might be able to get a good deal for both at one time. Look for the 96-98 5-speed manual version with the IACV on the back. There are a couple of y8/z6 comparison threads you can check out:

What do you think teh gains of either/or swap be?? I have the same motor.JDM D15B, from reseaching intake manifolds and heads i have notice that the D15B looks pretty close the Z6. But it produces more HP/Trq then either the Y8 or th Z6. I am adding a SOHC ZC intake manifold that looks like the Y8 over the winter so ........keep me posted on the swap it sounds interesting if you can squeeze more power out of that 1.5.
