so im planning to swap in a d15b vtec into my civic and im trying to explain to my friends why this is a good swap and they say the torque on the engine is low. i thought it was close to the b16 anyways what is the actual torque rating on the d15b

its no worse than the b16. i have seen z6s and y8s that put out more torque stock vs stock. tell your friends that 6 or 7 of these swaps would cost you what a b16 would. justification enough for me.

*edit: it has 111, same as the b16......

TQ is abit lowere then B16 or D16.. it has about 8 NM less the D16Z6 and about 10-13 less then B16... but it has same top power as the D16Z6 and a better bore/strok ratio then the D16.. i im gonna keep my D16 for the exstra TQ...

Yup, even with my drop in output my D15b was dyno'd this weekend and was putting out as much as the stock B16a's and about 4nm/tq down on a stock D16z6.
