I was in the junk yard saturday and found a 91 4door civic looked stock.I opeaned the hood to find a pm3 head sitting on a d15b block??There was no after market anything on this car.I was wandering if it was possible that honda may have shiped some cars(USdm) with this block.I think it was a lx:confused:

non vtec d15b.. could have been a replacement engine from a shop

Was it EF/ED or EG?-body? What intake manifold that thing had? '90-'91 only VTEC engine factory installed is B16 AFAIK, all around the world.
Sure it wasn't D15B2, with DPFI?

It was dpfi but was a D15b block no extra number.Im guesing mybe some one threw a rod,and some how ended up with this.Its just wierd everthing was stock on the car.Like it came that way?I don't know,some people are anal about keeping everything looking stock. ?

Maybe it was just some oddball in crossover-year '91 model. Did you check what engine car's type plate said? Sure that "2" wasn't just covered by dirt or stamped very lightly or something..? Anyway, afaik D15B and D15B2 are ~identical?
