Ive decided im going to swap in a gsr engine to my 1991 honda crx Si. I know every 1 here loves the d series, but the car started as a d series, so maybe its ok? Anyway, im looking at buying a complete with engine, tranny, ecu, axles, manifolds etc. I know i need to buy the mount kit, but what about the shift linkage. should i get the hasport linkage, or will the stock be fine? I think i read somewhere that the driver or passenger side axle is 2 short, and comes apart or breaks or something? What axle should it be replaced with? If anyone else has some knowledge they would like to share, please do

You need to get the modified shift linkage to work....im not to positive on the axles but i know for a b16a swap the best to use is 86-89 integra axles and ive seen people use 92 gsr axles too.

you can cut and weld your stock linkage like the pioneers of the swap did. gs-r/ls/gs/rs axles fit it last time i checked. how much are you paying for the most over-rated b series motor ever?

I dunno the price, im assuming something around 1800? I just got word of a pieced together turbo kit for a grand. Boosted b16? what are the thoughts on that? problem with anything turbo tho, im a jackass and got my whole body kit molded. front mount is gonna be damn hard without taking off the front bumper, if its even possible, but i guess anything is possible? I feel like im losing my damn mind. I say b16, and people say no, i say gsr, people say no. lol. its fun tho, go into work every day and pick all your brains :D keep up the good work! haha

haha. well, like i said, i change my mind daily. This one i might stay with. keep my stock engine! A guy from the boston forum i belong to builds custom turbo kits and engines and stuff. 2500 for, basically, a complete rebuild and a custom kit, able to handle 20 psi? makes the task of finding an engine alot easier, and getting it in there. seems like the best bet so far. what do we think?

Turbo b18b better low end torque then the b16 and also lower compression for better turbo boost then the b16. But if you stay d series listen to the other guys in this thread. :D

i think i am gonna stay with the a6. I get to keep the car at the place that is doing the work for the winter, and pay as we go. sound like a good idea?
