Been working on this project for the past couple weekends.
New alarm ready to install the door locks here in a couple of days.
Its pretty badass and feel pretty lucky to find it.
RFID I purchased on eBay for $10 came in a kit with everything you minus relays.
Between the RFID and S2k approximately 5 relays were used all neatly tucked away in a radio shack box.
The key fob used holds a specific code to the reader just like in newer cars.
Less talk more show:

A) You have GIANT toes.
B) That's the second coolest use of RFID + car I've ever seen.
C) Any chance on a DIY.
You know what they say about people with big toes...

Not sure yet on the DIY as the RFID is there for security. I have diagrams for everything tho.

One good bump and your RFID tag is going to shut your car off.

Cool, but . . . why do you have to put the key in at all?
It won't. The reader is hidden in the dash it actually has to touch the dash to read it.
I wanted to keep the key as it still serves its purpose. Locks the column and gives power to the ecu and everything else that's tied in.

If there was a way to integrate an electric steering lock and get rid of the key completely this would be awesome.

break it.
I done 100% keyless cars before.
They broke into my friends hatch and try to steal it. He needed to go to work so i just make the car keyless with rfid and kill switchs.

Its all easy to do.
and you can make an electric lock for the steering wheel. just use an actuator

B) That's the second coolest use of RFID + car I've ever seen.
Had someone post on my wall about this the other day;

Guy I know of got drunk, shoved a knife in his hand, stuffed the RFID chip in the hole, glued it back together, and basically did the same thing to his car but with the door lock actuator in there as well. So all he had to do to arm and unlock his car was walk up and wave his hand over the B-pillar. Coolest part was no one could ever steal his stuff even if they had the keys.

Well, that is how a surgeon does it, just without the alcohol (hopefully).

If you DIY, no one will know. I have enough scars on my hands from work so that no one would ever question another one. You do have to be careful about X-rays and MRIs or CAT scans, though. Those are high enough energy to either fry the chip or fry you from the inside out. VERY unpleasant.

I need to find a good solenoid to replace a honda ignition.

this would remove the key entirely, and keep the column lock functional.
