is a crower stage 2 cam good for a vitara setup?
*vitara* umm depends.... I am going with the stage 2 crower turbo cam for my setup.... which consists on vitara pistons....
maybe get a little bit more specific with what your asking...
crower stage 2 turbo cam with crower spings retainers and valves for a vitara setup . then turbo
i dont see why it wouldnt be a good combo as far as making power, you will definately need to tune it ASAP after you get it running though.
well i found out what my setup will consist of
D16z6 block and head
-Vitara pistons
-Eagle H beam Rods
-Crower stage 1 or 2 turbo cam might stick with stage 1 and keep stock valve spings, valves and retainers.
-P&P Head
-Knife Edge and Balanced crank
-Deck the block
-balance the rods and pistons
-Then turbo not sure what though
What you guys think will it make more then 300hp or no?

depends on your tune and what turbo your going with and your octane you wanna use... some guys are making 400HP on a stock head and intake with vitara's

why on earth would you get a different crank? stock will be fine.

get a gt28r turbo, im sure youll be happy with it.

also what kind of turbo manifold will you be using? is this a race car only or a daily driver?

no offense but it sounds like you know what other people are talkign about but you dont really understand the true purpose of them. but i could be wrong.
yeah.... stock crank will be totally good to go man..
who said anythin about getting a new crank
i said knife edgeing the crank not a new 1

No actually im pretty sure i know what im talking. Do you know what your talkig about seeing is how i didnt state anywhere there that i was getting a new crank , i said i was knife edging the counterweights on the crank meaning the crank will cut threw the oil, and it will be a little lighter.
did it really take you 2 replies for that????
he misread what you wrote.. leave it at that...a nd as for any forced induction questions you can have.. all the answers will be in the forced induction stickies.. and if they arent.. well search because they are out there
sorry, geez i gave you rep to try to get you outta the hole. dont get violent. lol

and by the way ive built and swapped a few motors in my day.
knife edging a honda crank isnt worth the money IMO. stock motor with vitara pistons, eagle H beams, and Arp headstuds is capable of 400+. just depends on the tuning.
If it doesnt make nore than 300 then burn it and push it though a cliff....lol..j/k

It should go over 300 with the right fuel setup/tunning and the right sized turbo.

If i made 266whp non vtec and stock head i think yours should make more than that with Vtec head and stage 2 cam.
what type of turbo should i use?
Check out the turbo sticky's. They'll fill you in with Turbo information and help you understand which one would best suit your application.
T3 Super 60 FTW!! or....if you have the money GT28R FTMFW!!!!!
