Ok, I did some research on how distributor ignitions work. I thought that the CKF on y7/y8's was the CKP or CYP.

so it's a speed fluctuation sensor for misfires. would there be an issue other then fitment ( which I'm curious about as well, if anyones done this) with the sensor not getting the right signal because of the 1.5 having a shorter stroke. or is it simply looking for irregularitys in speed during rotation. ok it goes off crankshaft velocity, so it should work.

maybe if someone has tried this, can say if it worked or not.

sick! and this'll pass emissions and not throw a cel? would it still be able to detect a miss?

This would be cool cause I wouldn't have to use a y8 pump and I wouldn't have to port it or anything. but on the other hand having the sensor working would be kinda cool.
