Performance wise no it doesn't do a thing. Does it hurt anything? Only if you live in northern Canada. I've run without any coolant lines to my TB or IACV for 5 years on all of my CRX's and Civics. Just makes it easier to remove the throttle body quickly. The coolant lines are only there to keep things from freezing shut.

honda has an engine coolant feed thru the throttle body to keep it from freezing shut in cold weather. the problem, is that when the engine is up to normal temperature, the coolant is quite hot, and helps to increase the temperatue of the incoming air. if you live in cold climates and drive in the winter, leave it connected. i really doubt how much this really helps on a d-series. i'd get a thermogasket intake manifold gasket before blocking off the coolant
