I'm thinking of turning my engine into a mini me......Which tranny and head combo is the best that will give my d16y7 the most hp and torque??? thanx.

thanx for the info...Wat kind of car is the y8 in...is it a del sol??? and can I get a y8 tranny and head in 99-00???

Y8 is short for D16Y8, thats the engine code. As far as what models the Y8 comes in it depends on if you live in Canada or the States. In Canada the Y8 came in the 96-00 SI's. In the States the Y8 came in the 96-00 EX. I think some of the Del Sols came with a Y8 but I am not sure about that. The Y8 is basicly the engine code for the SOHC VTEC in the 96-00 Civics and like i said maybe the Del Sols too. If you want a Y8 head check out www.ebay.com or www.car-part.com.
