Confirm if I have all the parts I need (Y8 IM)

I have had some problems with the wire conversion harness for my car (obd2-OBD-1). I am thinking about caulking the conversion harness in order to keep those connections from loosing continuity. A few months ago I was driving down the road and suddenly I lost a cylinder. It sounded like I was driving a BAD ASS WRX. It turns out the number four injector wire was getting pulled out by the passengers foot. I have since moved the wires into a more secure location however I do think that RTV is not a bad idea.

My harness was made by phearable, so it is pretty high quality, but ya, I might wrap it all up to try to prevent anything like that from happening.

Also, I need a TB cable to replace my Y7 cable (its going to be way too long)

What all cables will fit my application?

Why do I need a headgasket?

The head has been on the car for like, 20K miles

You can get by without changing the throttle cable. I did it anyways on my y8 obd1 conversion.

r u saying ur driving ur car with the Y8 head on it? or that u replaced it on ur Y7 head. if u have replaced it on ur Y7 head then replace it no questions asked, a headgasket isnt something that u play with

My car has a Y8 head on the car, just like my first post says.

You can replace it, but you don't need to, I'm still using my y7 throttle cable on my y8 im swap.

he's just doing an IM swap, no need to change the HG....

if your just doin the IM the head should never come off. Maybe he meant the gasket between the IM and the head, you will need a new one of those. Go with Hondata.
