Check this out. The opportunity of this is making me want to sell my camry and grand cherokee in hopes of reliving my civic days

Keep working hard, nothing is as satisfying as working your ass to the damn bone, having a few hitches, then it flares up and takes off!!

Good luck!

Also to make it clear, the different sets of coils are literally different coils, 4 from a j35a7, which has the smaller connector like the fit and r18 civic, the other 4 are the larger k series type connector from a j35A6. So either there is a dwell difference or plain old voltageoutput difference.
the R18 and the GE8 (09-13) coils are the same. the Fit GD3 07-08 coils are different.

what are the part numbers on the coils you tested?

Thanks and good work! Keep it up!

Nor would he go into great deal on his system either, or release code to public. Just what's needed to know, mine is not completely finished, adding lots of features that I've already spoke of before. I'm not trying to sell anything yet, just reporting progress at this point. When ready to sell I'll point out more info

updates are awesome, lets get that final product made!! :bigok:

I just want another video! Dont need to show the system itself, I just want to get a feel about how an otherwise stock vehicle is responding to the current version!

he is designing it to be able to drop right into an otherwise stock vehicle.

so yes, you can adjust your timing just like the distributor. jump the 2 wires inside, ignition on, rotate, and recheck timing with a light.

You should be familiar with that step anytime you mess with the distributor or its replacement. The ecu NEEDS base timing set properly before you can start adjusting from there.

Delays are inevitable. No problems man! Gonna be giving the Fit up soon and going back to the roots, a 88-95 chassis with your ignition setup on a strung out D or F

Good work!

If you do start one of those kickstarters, just make sure you do whatever is necessary to cover your back. Patents or whatever. Research and find out if someone did paperwork and simply never put it to market.

I would love to see this setup get MASSIVE support and take off, and eventually made into some sort of system like megasquirt, where with some adaptation, can be made for all available distributor systems out there, across the brands.

Keep up the amazing work. It is proof hard work pays off, and that you dont need a big company to make an idea into reality.

I'm still working on it making mine perfect, I'd you could hold out it should be worth it.
Seems you have additional resources, from that ninja edit lol

A good quality product is always worth the wait!!

I would say start getting a good idea of prices and such, so we can get an idea of how much we need to save up.

BOOM....er... BUMP!! :wackit: :pedo:

Subscribed. If I could squeeze my haggard old 403k mile D15 into 40mpg territory without watching my lead foot, I'd be all over it.
you are not going to see some miracle mileage boost.

if you are not getting 40mpg or so highway, you have other things to put your attention one :chef:

Is it something that is going to raise the price up quite a bit?

Some of us dont need something with 99.9999999% accuracy.

Should offer 2 "stages"

the first being cheaper and something like you had on the CRV. then you can have your fany tip of the mountain stage lol

I don't want to design 2 entirely different systems, I have to fabricate and assemble them myself, so I'm going for a one does all, I can't release too much because we have people that like to copy ideas, I'm working on it some today, low product price is the goal.
We dont need som $200 solution lol. Many will pay a bit more for a quality product.

Kudos on keeping tabs and lips shut lol. Yes, the copycat game is strong with anything that hits the internet.

Maybe when you finalize it, just make 100 sets initially to see what the market does for you. Considering minor adjustment is all that is probably needed for OBD1 and up civic/accord/crv/integra/prelude, you have a HUGE market to service!

Keep on trucking.

Is the crv steering rack interchangeable with teh civics?

if so, a manual civic rack and the manual steering u-joint would save you some money

Also i have to design my own shaft/and base.
pro tip:

create a 3d printer file of some sort and find one of the many websites around that are willing to print your ideas out.

you pay them shipping, they get the created parts to you.

once a good solid solution is figured out, it is very easy to trasnfer to metal.

you can even do a mild alloy of sorts with 3d printing.

considering a really good 3d printer is over a grand easy, this route would enable you to get a chance to have some variables ironed out without taking up a lot of cnc time
