I am going to empty out the hydraulic fluid for my clutch soon.... what is the best fluid I can use..... car is a 96 Civic ex..... price isnt an issue... I just want good stuff :) What do you run? Thanks!

dot 3 brake fluid.

considering a hydraulic clutch works essentially the same as brakes, brake fluid is optimal

I use clutch cable fluid.

maybe some LV (low viscosity) DOT 4. or an LV DOT 3.

even then, id say go DOT 3. it absorbs moisture less readily and since the clutch system never gets really hot like a brake system does, the higher boiling point really wont make much of a difference.
