Has anyone found something to use as a clutch alignment tool? I've heard of some people using a socket. Obviously the tool comes with a clutch kit. My situation is, I bought this motor and have yet to hear it run. I want to put the old clutch in it and drop it back in to make sure it will run before I drop too much money into it.

I used a broom handle on an old Triumph years ago. It didn't need a lot of whittling, either!
Are you sure the alignment tool comes with the kit? I've not seen that in the UK.

By the way, why do you need a clutch to hear a motor run?

I used a 14mm deep well socket with a 6 inch extension on my 87 crx. That car didnt have a t/o bearing and the 14mm fit in the crank like it belonged there.
