I just reassembled the mainshaft on a P4a-a000 small bearing 35mm transmission ( I think its JDM). When checking the clearance between 2nd and 3rd gear, I noticed that it varies as I spin 3rd gear. One side of 3rd gear is .10mm. The next feeler gauge .13mm will not fit on this side. However, 180 degrees away on the other side of 3rd gear the .13 fits between 2nd and 3rd. The clearances follow 3rd gear when I rotate it (meaning that if I put a paint dot on 3rd where I measured .13 and then rotate the gear, that dot always measures .13 between 2nd and 3rd).

Is this too much variation or should it be ok? Should I tear down the mainshaft again and check anything else?

Also, when measuring this clearance how far in does the feeler gauge have to go. In the helms, it looks like it almost touches the shaft. Is there some clearance further in near the shaft that we are checking or is it simply the distance between the sides of the gears.

I also added pictures of the hub after being pressed onto the shaft.
