i soaked mine in super clean solution for a few hours. i also scrubbed the ports down with an old toothbrush. when it was time, i hosed it off with water. then sprayed it down with wd40. it was like brand new. super clean really works. bling bling....then again the head was completely taken apart which made it easy to clean.

I use Carb cleaner and Brake cleaner work Great everytime!! "DOnt use water" But you already know that.. Something to also think about when u use brake cleaner or any kind of degreaser You take all the oil and lubricant from parts, so when you do go to use it put some lube or just poor oil all over head once you have it on block w/out valve cover on..
