I am about to get into some tuning for my 94 del sol (z6). Just curious about the processors ??

I noticed most offer a P06 chipped and basemapped to P28 specs (vtec). What - if any advantages are there in the REAL P28 vs the chipped P06 (faster chips, etc.)?

I would like to see a comparison to a chipped P06 to P28 dyno vs a dyno on a real stock P28. I guess that would be only proof on if the REAL P28 has any benefit.

Anyway - Any disadvantes/advantages over either....????

Thanks,
Jason

IIRC, you can put P28 maps in a P06; only difference is P06 doesn't have VTEC. If you have a non-VTEC engine, stick with P06, VTEC, go for P28.

it basically mean u chipped it for vtec but with some slight benifits

How well the P28 deliver and activates vtec and delivers the fuel needed at the engaging moment!!!

if the p06 is chipped and converted to vtec, they are basically the same

p28 maps in a p06 ecu will be the same as p28 maps in a p28 ecu
