anybody out there know if it would benifit me to remove the cat and put a test pipe in its place. i have a z6 motor in a crx

my car is exempt from emissions in pa. i drive it less than 5,000 mi a year

Yes I've put a test pipe on my car, only made it louder.

Just remember, D15B7, 118 whp thru the OEM cat :)

Now if your gonna run boost or nitrous, $10 test pipe is needed.

i had a high flow cat... added decibles, not horse power... :TD:

I am running no cat with 4-1 and 2 1/4" exhaust. I love it. I would always recommend ripping out that cat right away. Pulls pretty hard for a d17. Also how can anyone not love that smell of un-catted exhaust...mmmmmmm

test pipes have been dyno proven to only add 1hp over high flow cats.
X2! Modified Mag did a back to back to back dyno tests of w/OEM, w/Hi-flow, and w/test pipe and the test only produced 1 horse over the cat. I think our current global warming issue is only gonna cause stricter laws, so just do it legal.
