Lowered my car to the standard height on my HR touring cup kit, car rubs or sounds like a rub or grinding noise from one tire.

There's nothing hanging and no zip tie tails, no marks yet on the tire and no clean spots indicating where the rub is and im stumped.

It does it when it hits big bumps above 40 mph, or when leaning on the passenger front cornering.

It almost sounds metal on metal but I checked my backing plates and theres no rub there. My buddy's rub sounded similar so im thinking I just can't find the source of the contact.

What are some common things hondas rub on when mildly lowered? It happened with the wheels straight today so its not based on steering angle + suspension compression.

What else causes rub like noise?

Put some masking tap on the areas of the chassis you think might be rubbing. Go make it rub. Look for marks on the masking tape.

But to me, it sounds like a dust shield or something like that.

It was a tiny rock deeeeeep in the underside of the dust shield. No rubs everything is silent, but i have ANOTHER busted tie rod end boot? Wtf?!

That's two in exactly one year and 3800 miles on the same side

Tape is a really good idea for rubs though I hadn't thought of that thanks man
