I have an A6 and Y8 dipstick but need one for a Z6, Pretty sure the Y8 is too long and want to make sure the A6 isn't too short. Just need a measurement from where the rubber grommet touches the dip stick tube to both oil holes on the dipstick.

the blocks of the a6 and z6 are the same.that why you can do a head swap between these motors

Yeah i mean i know the blocks are the same mechanically but the A6's oil pan may be different volume...or any internal part could have a different contour/shape changing the height of the oil. I doubt it's much but i would just like to know for reference.

Seems like no one on this board has a Z6 in their car...or is capable of using a ruler :razz:

Did you measure from exactly where the dipstick rubber part seats on the block tube?
