So anyone have thoughts about how I can rev a stock p08 to 8k? I would have thought the rev limiter would have kicked in even in neutral.

don't press the acclerator down that far! nah J/K, why don't you have the z6 computer in there?

Why would I? Its a D15B! Plus the idle is nasty with a P28, or I havent let it run long enough with one to adjust itself. I really hate surging idles and the P08 idles perfectly.

wierd all of my d15b's idled fine with the p28 stock maps. i mean you are trying to idle a non factory cam, so you can't expcet perfect without a tune. :beer:

Back from the dead, took it up the street just for fun and hit the limiter at 8100. Wtf?!

After market tach?I'm assuming you know how to tell it the ecu is chipped.Right?
Iv'e read that oem tach's aren't too accurate.

ehh i have a 59500 and my cam is set at 0. keep the cam at stock. no need to mess with cam timing.

Im past all that, wondering whats going on with the high revving now. Stock tach, stock p08 ecu.
