This is on my turbo d16z6 so I figured I ask the question in the turbo section I'm getting ready to install my zex 59300 cam with my aftermarket edelbrock cam gear as far as I know the timing for z6 motor is at the p28 spot but my cam gear don't have the line for the p28 My stock cam gear has it but not my aftermarket...also I've searched and searched for hours so please don't say search...

why not make it easy on yourself. take the oem cam gear and lay it on the new cam gear and line up the keyways. then mark 0* on the new cam and bam, found stock timing

also, it already has the marking at 3 oclock and 9 oclock to show where its level with the head

it shouldn't matter. look at the 3 oclock and 9 oclock marks. flat with the head. line yours up like that and scratch your own line into it. why are you making it harder? not to mention, its an aftermarket cam, should come with a cam card to properly time it so it wouldn't matter what the oem cam lines up to

The 7 o'clock mark is TDC for the Z6 just like the picture. I've only seen that mark on a couple after market cam gears like the Golden eagle one.

Line the gears up and make your own mark.
