um...i didnt get one yet lol...im shooting for a 8-10 pt tho...bolt or weld dont matter
Get a custom one, and yeah you willl probly have to pull most of your interior but your windshield should be fine.
The windscreen side of it depends if you have the bar that goes along the roof between the A pillars. If so, that will fit very snugly up near the screen, and it may be safer not to have the screen there.

Basically it all depends on where it bolts/ welds in. If it welds in, then it makes sense to take the trim or whatever away from the surrounding area. If it bolts in, then thats a choice you can make.

8-10 point is a bit extreme though isnt it? I know this is likely to be only for show. But it makes a hell of a lot more work. I only needed a 6 point cage to go in my MK1 Escort rally car. And that is strictly for safety rather than looks...
Is the car a DD?
If you are installing for bling... DONT DO IT!!!

Having a cage can be more dangerous in low speed accidents on the street because if you're not wearing a helmet you can crack your skull on the bar... :-(
Also, with a cage, you'll no longer be able to carry rear seat passengers (Too dangerous.)

That said, are you SURE the cage is a good move?

As for the install, you'll have to strip the interior, but not necessarily the glass.
yea exactly, what are your goals? the track here in Denver only requires you have a cage if you run a 11.49 or faster. you gonna be somewhere in that range??
he's gonna be somewhere in the red carpet range.

it's a show car, people!
hardparkers bondo that shit in there. pull the carpet.
yeah your supposed to take out the interior, cover the windows with car board,

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hardparker

The act of owning a Japanese car riddled with roll cages/high-end race suspension/expensive forged wheels, and never taking it to the track. These people frequent places like honda-tech.com appearance/cosmetic forum, and can often be found arguing about rotas and other parts that they don't do shit with anyway.
lol that link is blocked on my work comp lol
lol, i love the references to honda-tech in the definition!
i just read wut hardparking is...im going to take that degrading word and turn it around to a positive non-violent expression for my peoples

There are bolt-in cages on the maket that might do it for you.
I think OMP has some.
