Alright, I started getting down to business tonight.

https://flic.kr/p/2mbLcJG Cam and rocker assembly bolted up. Still need to torque everything down. I bought a new Husky 3/8” torque wrench today but the lowest I can crank it to is 20 foot pounds and the caps are supposed to be torqued to 15 for the M8 bolts and 9 for the M6 bolts, so I’m going to run out tomorrow and try to find a 1/4” wrench that I can use.

Also, when the mating surfaces for the intake/exhaust manifolds were resurfaced, the threads for the studs got a little jacked up. So I need to chase those holes with a tap, and I will probably also need to chase the holes for the water neck and VTEC solenoid as well. We’re making progress though.

I took a wire wheel to the thermostat cover and got all the crud off. I’ll work on getting that sanded and polished soon.

Cheers! Unfortunately that's the price we pay to play. Our dollar is creeping on yours though lately, so its not too bad. I usually batch order stuff to take a smaller hit on shipping.
