The injection site was sore for two days but other than that, no issues at all. My second dose is scheduled for 1/11 so we’ll see how that one goes.

https://flic.kr/p/2kqoWVp New engine ground strap. Pro Power 250mm M6 to M6, ordered from Newark Electronics.
I have a 400mm M8 to M8 on order for the tranny ground.
Tomorrow’s weather is supposed to be tits and Sunday will be even better. For sure taking the car out. Will bring along the laptop to get my wife used to holding it and recording logs for me.
Still haven’t installed the WB02 but I’m talking to my steamfitter buddy and hoping he can help me weld the bung soon.

I just spent $216.56 @ hondapartsnow. New door garnishes, new trunk seal, and new rear window seal. I want to buy all the trim/moulding I need before it’s discontinued, so when I decide to paint I have brand new stuff to install. The roof moulding and door seals are already out of stock, but I can find those on eBay I think.

I’ve been seriously considering a K swap lately. K24A1 bottom end with a K20A2 head. It COULD cost less than my turbo D plans and while it wouldn’t make as much power or be as fun, it would still smash on the street and for sure be more reliable.
I have a bunch of D parts I could sell to offset the cost. Just thinking out loud...

Really hard to hate the K series!!

https://flic.kr/p/2kspyna New trunk seal, rear window molding, and door garnishes arrived today. Expecting rain so I’m not going for a drive. Cleaning up my garage and hopefully recovering my center console armrest though. New mirrors ordered from overseas so stay tuned for those.

https://flic.kr/p/2ktsMZS Did a projector retrofit on my wife’s Fit. Will get the alignment straight tonight after the sun goes down.

The Civic is running great. Went for a drive to Great Falls, VA yesterday and just enjoyed the weather. So maybe it’s time to get cracking on going faster.

https://flic.kr/p/2ktsMYV P08 head I’ve had wrapped in plastic for about ten years. Will start stripping it down really soon.

Thanks! It doesn’t match my door panel inserts but f it, I think it looks pretty good. And unless you’re a Honda stickler you won’t be able to tell it’s not OEM fabric.

https://flic.kr/p/2ktFNWx Got the head pretty much stripped except for the heater hose nipple. I need a bigger socket to make sure I don’t mangle the hell out of it and make it harder to remove. I’ll order a spring compressor so I can take it all the way apart and I’m going to email Performance Porting for a quote. Then I just need to box it up and start buying some parts.
The big question is on the cam. Crower, ZEX, Go Auto, Speed Factory, Skunk2, etc, there’s a lot of options. The 59300 seems to be an overall great performer. Any recommendations? I’m all ears.

I looked ALL over and can’t find the keeper. I’m 99.99% sure it’s not in the head. Oh well, I already ordered 32 new Honda locks.

https://flic.kr/p/2kushqw Since DSO loves head stamps! Too bad I have no idea what car this motor came from...

https://flic.kr/p/2kunVok EDM mirrors were delivered today. It’ll be nice to get rid of my Spoon reps. Can’t see SHIT with those. Still need to find some 8 mm bolts to get them installed.

https://flic.kr/p/2kunVof Folding mirrors FTW

https://flic.kr/p/2kuLj4k I’ve had a box of parts that’s been sitting for more than a decade. I decided to crack it open tonight.

https://flic.kr/p/2kuLj5x Brand new water pump, tensioner, timing belt, and oil pump. I’ll be selling the oil pump and buying a ported unit from Bad Guys. I’ll also be buying a new timing belt just because this one is old. I’m glad I found the lower timing cover. They are getting hard to find and it’d be a bitch to set timing without it.

https://flic.kr/p/2kuLj64 FJ rods, YCP 75.5 Vitara pistons, NPR rings, ACL thrust washers and bearings. Won’t be 100% sure I can use the bearings until the specs are known.

https://flic.kr/p/2kuKMvq Used ARP head studs. I’ll probably buy a new set just because. I’d like to jump up to the 11mm studs but we’ll see. That requires machining and that costs money. And if I’m going to spend that much money, I’d be better off ditching the Vitaras now and just sleeving the block.

I found a VTEC solenoid and a head gasket too! Knocking stuff off my list FTW

What are your power goals? Making progress! You're in VA right? If you're near the central NC border, you could borrow my timesert kit to go 11mm studded if you want, when the time comes.
