ok im starting a new project here are my plans

d15b8 block: encludes pm3 flat top pistons, crank

d16z6 head: encludes dizzy, intake manny, exaust manny

z1 timing belt

d16z6 tranny

any recomendations on anything i should do or use?

I would try to get an aftermarket clutch at the same time. ACT stage II or clutchmasters stage III.........You dont want to start up a new project with a stock clutch and then have to pull the gear box again just to put in a clutch.......

I would alos upgrade the exhaust to 2.5 inch at the same time......

I see the basics as cold air intake, header, exhaust and clutch... With this alone will will have a nice running car......

You could also get an upgraded computer to rev a little higher.....

update on the project

ok so now i have

d16z6 head (shaved .037) i shaved off the thicknees of the head gasket, i was planning on 2 plying the gasket but i dont think i have the valve clearence to..
with the head shaved at .037 i'm looking at having 11.2:1 comp (using d15b8 block w/ pm3 flattop pistons)

tranny is d16z6 trans (looking into getting lsd for it but not sure about spending $900 on it)

Also for the project i bought new :

6 puk clutch and extreem presure plate (working on getting light flywheel)

full catback exaust

4-2-1 header

p28 ecu (i just ordered jdmsh!t race chip) from jdmshit.com

and an adjustable camgear

later plans: full rebuild on the head (skunk2 everything)


hopfully ill have it done and driving in the next couple of weeks..
when i get it done ill snap some pics and post them up

sure will ill have pics up in about a week, well maybe 1 1/2 i need to have the car detailed
