here's the problem... my girlfriend was given a 91 ef SI, and it had a dead battery.. so i replaced the battery, and it turned on, motor was running great, but when i turned it off, and turned the lights off, the brake lights stayed on (not just the tail lights, the brake lights, including the window/hatch light)?? i dont know whats up..

i removed the tail light fuse, and even then, the lights stayed on? there must be some sort of direct power source coming from the battery? i dont know what it could be though..

i know its an old car, but it is a honda.. so i know it is repairable..

did you check the little plastic plug on the brake pedal for the switch? they get dry rotted and fall out.

i did not.. but i wouldnt know what to look for? ON the pedal you said? i guess i'd have to get a new one (from honda?)..
but the big thing that is puzzling me is that, even when the fuse is out, it still stays on???
