I just went to start my car & it tried to start & died.. so I tried again & the starter just spins the engine.... I get fire & I noticed the externl fuel pump up front isn't kicking in...nor the internal fuel pump in the back./..

I guess I'm looking for a fuse? but can't seem to find one....

help?

test for voltage at the fuse, that will split the circuit in half if it has voltage then test for voltage at your pumps if not start tracing to where the fuse gets power from

what fuse?

edit:
I hooked the external fuel pump to a switch behind the change box...I'm guessing I should go look there...but I don't think there was any fuses back there....
maybe it was the main relay?

edit again:
no.... I looked behind that & I just taped the original fuel pump wire with the external power wire together...
so when I turned the key both pumps would turn on...

yea.. I got an internal fuel pump for when I was running my fmu...
so being that 2 fuel pumps aren't kicking on is a good thing...
(at least I know its not the pump bad)

I didn't have a pump bracket... just grounded somewhere...
but I will check that ground real quick...

EDIT:
no... I grounded the external fuel pump with the ecu ground....
there both fine...

EDIT again:

okay.. so basically I can disconnect the battery & plug it back up.. & the fuel pumps will kick on...
but they won't if I try it again...

so I took a look at my main relay... & I heard about the soldering deal a while back... but the places I thought was suppose to be bad.. look good...
unless its them other scrony lookin things stickin up...

anybody know about this?

EDIT:
another thing I noticed is I can connect & disconnect the relay & keep getting my fuel pumps to turn on when I turn the key...
but the pumps won't kick on unless I disconnect & then reconnect the relay...
(sounds like a bad relay....)

bump...
I resoldered all joints & still no luck...
it clicks when I turn the key & clicks when I turn it off...
(just as its suppose to)

I'm guessing this problem is somthing else rather then the main relay...
maybe like a fuel pump fuse?

does this exist? & if so... where?

edit:
I can pull the ecu fuse out & put it back in & hear both pumps come on.... ???

what could this be?
