inorder to boost a d16z6 is it recommened to upgrade your stock internals. cam shafts, pistions, etc.

or would it be fine to just use stock internals with only 6-8 lbs of boost.

minimum i would upgrade is injectors and 2 step colder spark plugs. get yourself a good tune and you should be fine.

read up on the basics of turbo charging first....

lbs of boost is irrelevent without the size of turbo...

6-8 would be fine on a small turbo... on a large turbo you might want to start changing internals... it all depends on what kind of whp you are going to put out

Maybe overkill but still, I'd invest in an ignition booster/controller to be on the safe side.

some arp headstuds wouldn't hurt, to prevent headlift...
a good tune prevents this "headlift" your talking about. your "headlift" is actually the cylinders vibrating from detonation from the bad tunes that people get.
