im running one in my turbo build i heard good and bad about them so i decided with the benifit of it making “part” of the cyl walls stronger I would go with one on my first build!!!!!!!!!

ok... i might think about getting one for my build if it makes it stronger.

yes... how do you place it in? machine chop have to do it?

also what about oil flow? does it restrict it bad?


Yes the shop that built my motor installed the block guard. It has nothing to do with oil flow, it’s the coolant area above the water jacket where it goes. They installed the guard (from what the guy said) by just placing it in place and finishing it off by SLIGHTLY taping it into place with what I don’t know. Then the block was decked for a good match with the head of course!
