Got my block back from the machine shop, but have some questions. I bought std. sized Clevite main and rod bearings. The machinist said they were all within .0015"-.0017" range for mains and rods. But he didn't write them down so I decided to plastigage to make sure and now the rod cap is stuck because of the dowels. Any advice to getting the rod off the crank?

Also since the machinist said that clearances are within specs at 0015"-.0017", but DIDN'T write them down at all. Should I just throw the bearings in and run the motor does it matter what bearings go to what since they are all std. size? Just don't want to damage anything.

Use a rubber mallet. Keep the caps on the same rods, and dont switch any of the bearings, If you want to double check it thats fine, you should of just put it together yourself then.
