ok the b18b1 in my hatch has been acting a little weird.
It has been idling really low and turns of at stops usually.
Sometimes can hear a noise i think its valves ticking but not sure. It's not a deep enough tone to be a knock, I think. Other then that it drives fine. I did a compression test for the hell of it and it got this.

dry. 180 150 150 180

wet 180 160 160 180

this seems like a steep difference in between cylinders 2,3 and 1,4. Any ideas? should i worry about this? i'm not to concerned about the motor as i'm not going to keep it too long, but i do need it to last me a few weeks until i finish my single cam to put in.

advice? thoughts? as always thanks in advance

personally i don't like the 150psi on cyl 2-3. too low for my taste. that on a stock engine.

perform a leakdown test.

yeah i dont like it either. No tools for leak down....yet

how's your valve lash? have you adjusted it ever?

I know it's more a B20 problem, but possible receded exhaust valve?
Just finished valve lash was off a bit ill try comp test again tomorrow see if any changes in compression

Engine hot or cold?

With old D16Z6 had 150 psi dry on one hole after I melted a piston on the hose, 12% leakdown, the car only slowed .01 in the quarter, both NA and juiced.
