hi ppl, originally had a standard d13c injected engine and wanted to replace it with the jdm d15b p08 vtec engine., once done i hooked it up to my standard auto tranny (with adaptor plates), however in drive (d) the tranny changes gears at 6000rpm and i want to keep it in the gear at least untill 7000rpm since vtec engages at 5000rpm to 7000rpm. so in reality i only get half vtec, then i have to wait until it kicks in again, its got a accelerator cable running from the tranny to the throttle. i was thinking maybe its got something to do with that., please keep in mind people.,i would love to switch over to manual, but due to the mods and trying to find a manual gearbox is next to impossible for this car.

im good with modifying engines., but when it comes to automatic trans, i suk!

....

the major advantage of my setup is that the factory engine puts out 50kw, at 600kg which goes good at 600kg., similar to the d13b that comes in the civic eg. but with this 100kw sohc jdm vtec engine, at 600kg, the thing will fly, its like saying a 1200kg integra making 200kw will make the same power to weight ratio.

tighten up the tranny cable as much as possible. if it's a little lose, it'll cause the tranny to shift before redline when you're mashing the peddle.
