I need to replace the cracked head on my 1996 Honda Civic DX (automatic transmission) and I am wondering if I need to match the exact casting number from my car with the new head I replace it with.

The head casting number of my D16Y7 is P2F-HA-2. I want to know if a D16Y7 with casting number P2F-HA-3 will bolt on with all the same parts and no need for modification.

Thank you for your help,
M

I picked it up today. Thank you so much! This will be the first time I've ever done engine work, I'm looking forward to it. My only concern is getting that pulley bolt off, but I have the pulley bolt tool and a long breaker bar, so I should be fine.
