i find a great deal on a set of a1 pistons. the cr calculator tell me to expect a cr of 12.5.i think that i can run this cr on 93oct. gasoline that Puerto Rico offers. what do you all think??
i am currently building a z6 with some pm7 pistons. i plan to run 93 oct and just retard the timing a bit. then when i hit the races just add a little race fuel and turn up the timing a bit. i would think that you'd be ok.
rob.. i have Pm7 pistons on a Y7/Z6 head combo and with P.R. 93 octane i had Pinging problems.. Not even retarding the Ignition ALL the way back could stop the pinging.
=(
this doesnt mean it will be your case but just giving you my experience
i think that i going to buy the pm7 and shave a litle bit of material from the dome area to lower the cr.or use a cometic head gasket for turbo applications
i want to beat my brothers gsr now it is making 180hp and i am geeting preety far behind in the 1/4 mile department
