i have an alpine 90rms x 4 channel amp. Just wondering if i would have any heat problems if i mounted it under the front seat?

Next question:

"What should I use to raise it up?"

Simple cheap answer:

Vacuum hose! Cut some small pieces of vacuum hose in the length (height) you want to raise the amp up. This will not only raise it up, but also create a dampener against vibrations. Screws fit nicely through the tubing too!

i have an amp under each seat for over 3 years without issue. theyre just layin on the carpet. i dont know how raising off the floor is of any real importance seeing as how there isnt much air flow under there and the heatsinks are on top.

Depending on the amp, the impedance load and how hard you run it, it may NEVER get hot. However, 90% of amps made have cooling vents on the bottom to help them vent.

30x2/80x1 3522S Alpine, cooked a transistor.

Little bitch would run 55-60X2 @ 13.0V on the bench :)
