i am having overheating issues only when driving at highway speeds for more than 20mins which should be related to coolant flow. wanted to know if anyone bought ebay aluminum radiators and how is the fitment? rad hoses and mounting? the one i am looking at is 2.25 in. width, would that give me fitment issues as well?

is the radiator leaking?

You said you have overheating issues, unless the rad is not cracked, leaking, or clogged, or fins damaged badly your problems is somewhere else.
You get what you pay for, that thing is pretty cheap. Not bashing it but maybe you should of got a koyo or somthing in that nature...

no leaks no coolant loss, just overheats going hiway speeds for ~20 mins..
i turn on the heat and the temp gauge goes back down...

either my fmic is blocking air to the engine bay or i am having coolant flow probs, that is what i am thinking at the moment....
Try them Mishimoto radiators that you find on eBay... a couple people around here have had some luck with them.

i didnt get it yet, just thinking of getting it or do some trial and error stuff:

1) taking aux lite out of the sol to get some airflow to engine to see if overheating issue goes away, if not do #2

2) replace thermostat, if not work do #3

3) replace radiator, if not work, kill myself
I plan on using the Mishimoto . Haven't heard any complaints yet about them.

those ebay radiators work great. i personally run a mishimoto and i love it. the only problem i had was getting my 14 year old radiator hoses to stretch to get them on the radiator. i know alot of local people that are running the even cheaper ones and have absolutely no problems.
they are ok, still a small upgrade over stock. not as good as fluidyne or koyo, the cores are a bit different. i have seen both in person. for the price you cant beat it, get it and also get a hi-flow fan and that will help out a lot.
