So here is issue trying to get help on
1999 civic LX
5speed car
Alternator issues so replaced it
3-4 months later alternator dies again
(Oreilly alternator)
Warranty replaced and new battery too
2 days later having bit of fun rev to redline
Now battery light again

ideas of cause? ELD?
maybe just need to go to a used Oem?

ELD is easy to check, just unplug it and see what voltage its getting for reference, should be 4.75 volts up to 5 volts.

Else you can leave it unplugged, you get a check engine light, but you get maximum charging ability.


Else you can trick the ELD circuit, and put a 820ohm to 1,000 ohm resistor in teh circuit, and make the ecu think it needs to leave the alternator on all the time like a normal freakin alternator
