I am currently doing a d15b (obd1) swap into a 99 ex (d16y8 - obd2b), and I am searching everywhere for information on the altenator mounting points. Are they the same? Can I just swap my Y8 Alt. onto the d15b? Seems like a simple question... Sorry I am a noob!

I don't have access to the motor till later, and I have traded my core on the y8 for a reman, but I want to make sure it'll work before I waste my time and find out the I have to convert the obd1 to obd2...

Gotta have the d15 belt but yeah it works....im rocking.that setup.right now...

Thanks guys! It worked out just fine. Now I have to deal with the power steering...joy.

Looks like the jdm pump has a different fitting, and the usdm bracket does not fit the block.... gonna have to rig the usdm pump onto the jdm bracket. I think it can be done with the standard bottom mount bolt and an extended length bolt with a nut at the top.

...any advice?
